Learning Focuses on the Human

The world is dispersed. Remote collaboration is the here and now. And while there’s no doubt we would have eventually reached what is our current reality, none of us expected it to happen this quickly. We experienced 10-12 years of work evolution in 12 months. Every organization, regardless of industry or size, is rethinking what work looks like and how to succeed at it.

If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that anything (literally) is possible. So what could it mean for learning? How do we now approach one of the most fundamental elements of personal, professional, and societal growth in the world we now find ourselves in?

Focus on the human.

Self. Others. Society.

Leadogo’s philosophy is pretty simple. Do Good; which we’ve built around 3 foundational principles - Good for Self. Good for Others. Good for the Greater Good. We intentionally start with the individual because we believe in order to truly make an impact at the largest, most broad, and lasting scale, we all must learn how to create good within and for ourselves. We must master who we are and want to be so that we can reflect that back into the world. From there we affect others. We support their journeys from a place of genuine connection and authentic willingness to see them succeed. They then pay it forward in their circles, which extend to other circles, thus creating ripple effects of good across the globe.

Our Philosophy is Backed by Data

Mental health. It’s been top of mind for quite some time, but much like the evolution of work, it’s gained significant attention over the last 12 months. According to the World Health Organization, (WHO) depression and anxiety cost the global economy $1 trillion in lost productivity. With the uncertainty everyone experienced in the midst of the pandemic, that statistic is no longer being ignored. Individuals are taking action.

In the latest 2021 Workplace Learning Trends report released from Udemy for Business, the frequency of training completion for topics like stress management, resilience, and anxiety management have increased dramatically. Individuals recognize the effect the pandemic has had on their [mental] well-being and are taking action to correct it. Self-mastery is top of mind and workers are tackling the challenges they face head on by finding courses that teach them how to work through the mental load.

Leadogo’s Take on Self Mastery

But first, focus on yourself. In order to affect and enact change at the macro level, we must first start at the micro level. That’s why concepts related to personal leadership and self mastery are at the heart of everything Leadogo does and stands for. We focus on the human because we believe the energy that created our issues is not the energy required to correct them. So we start with helping learners to understand their current state of being and the energy they’re putting out into the world.

  • Who are they?

  • How are they approaching themselves and the world around them?

  • How are they showing up?

  • How does that serve them?

  • And how does it align to who they really want to be in order to achieve what they really want?

We provide a window into the patterns they currently use to create good and those that stand in the way of maximizing their lasting impact. We harness this awareness through practical application. We create opportunities for every learner to translate their self-discovery into action by interacting and learning from the broader Leadogo community, a coach, a mentor, or a hand-selected group of experts to hold them accountable.

We focus on the human.

What Will it Take to be Successful?

The greatest takeaway from the pandemic is that the whole person matters. The idea that we’re separate beings in the workplace and our personal lives no longer exists. These personas were blended before; most organizations simply tried to separate them. The minute workers were sent home, no organization could afford to keep them separated.

What employees experience in their personal lives has an affect on their professional productivity and vice versa. Being able to grow and develop in continued uncertainty will be a competitive advantage - for individuals and the organizations that employ them. 2020 showed us forced separation is impossible and is no longer tolerated among the masses.

The most successful organizations will embrace the concept that fully complex and beautiful humans come to work every day. Furthermore, they’ll create opportunities for their employees to self-discover and evolve. They will encourage and reward employees for focusing on themselves and figuring out how they best manage change and stress and maximize their adaptability and resilience.

The most successful organizations will focus on the human.
